What Sunday Looks Like

                              Sunset

Here's a little glimpse of what Sunday looks like at our house.

The day starts with coffee--of course.

Hubby usually makes breakfast--scrambled eggs, and fried potatoes.

I throw together something for lunch.

While making sure the children know their memory verses for Sunday School.

We scurry off to church while dinner bakes in the oven--often a roast or whole chicken.

Come home and after devouring our yummy lunch we collapse in our beds or on the couch for a nap.

When we wake up we usually have popcorn as an afternoon snack.

Then it's back to church for the evening service.

Home again for an after-church-snack.......leftovers, tacos, or burgers on the grill.

While we listen to Sunday night stories on the radio.

All-in-all it's one of the most relaxing days of the week.

What does Sunday look like at your house?

  1. I love the picture you created. We are still working on our Sunday routine since starting a new church.
It does usually involve a nap somewhere...

  2. Let's see. I get up between 5:30 and 7:00, depending on when I can pry myself out, and the later it is the faster I have to run! Basically, get soup/stew ready to take to church, fix breakfast and get people going, then continue lunch preparations. Take the most beautiful drive to church through the hills and along the Pacific coast, watching for dolphins. Enjoy the morning service. Eat lunch with the church family, then other have another service. Go visit a church family or explore a spot by the ocean or just come home. Relax, eat supper, read stories, go to bed.

  3. Emma,
I envy you your drive to church!!
I've seen some pictures, and I'm pretty sure they don't do it justice! Nice to have you comment!

  4. That sounds alot like mine, except I would say its the busiest day of the week.. We wake around 7, eat breakfast, prepare lunch, iron and choose clothes. Start getting ready by 830 and leave by 9:30.

Leave church at 11:30 and try to eat and have a sleep before 12:30-1. Wake up at 2:30, get ready and leave by 3:30 for afternoon church... phew, I really need to start the process on Saturday, but I tell you, it's the last thing from my mind..
