E is for "easy"
~~~~~~
I'm convinced that I can make my own life more difficult than it needs to be. I try to "do it all." I make complicated meals, try to keep my house spotless, do lots of extras in my homeschooling. I create the perfect life for myself.
However, my family pays for it. They have to live with a crabby wife and mom who snaps and growls her way through each day.
Lately I've been making an effort to make my life a little more easy wherever I can. I cook simply, I tidy the house several times a day--but I don't stress about it. I do the basics with homeschooling, but I try to let my children learn some of the "extras" from real life.
The result is a much more pleasant home.
What are some ways you make your life easy?
I think you listed some great ideas.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I think it's more attitude than anything. If I get uptight and put unrealistic expectations on myself (and that's all that it is...nobody else expects such things) then I get stressed. Just doing the basics and do some each day and it's amazing what gets done.
Nice post dear rebecca send you huggs! and blessings!
ReplyDeleteBetsy Im agree with you but I feel tense when some people wait alot more from me and this dont help dear.
ReplyDeleteMaybe for this sometimes I have headaches, sometimes feel all I mad eis never enough....sigh!
"ABC's of Motherhood," huh? Hm. I didn't think there was anything "easy" about motherhood. Especially for someone like yourself who has, what, like 47 to take care of right now?
ReplyDeleteSilver, I don't think you can count. I have seven children and one husband--and no my life isn't necessarily easy. :)
ReplyDeleteSome day I'll sit you down and explain the mystical meaning of the magic number 47.
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, I'm posting again!
